Technology Repair Policy
Purpose
This policy defines the process and requirements for repairing KCAI-owned technology.
Definition
KCAI-owned technology refers to technology purchased by Campus Technology (CT) for use by KCAI employees in order to perform their regular job duties. This includes, but is not limited to, desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and printers.
Scope
This policy applies to all KCAI employees and KCAI-owned technology used to perform their job duties.
Policy
Most KCAI-owned technology is covered by a warranty or service agreement. It is the responsibility of the employee to contact the helpdesk if their device is not functioning as expected. No KCAI-owned devices should be serviced without CT’s express authorization.
Computers & Peripherals
CT staff will work with the employee to troubleshoot and diagnose the issue. If it is determined to be covered by warranty, CT staff will coordinate with the appropriate vendor to repair the device. Depending on the device, CT staff will
